Strong wind from the opposite direction will give wind slabs in more lee areas. A skier or a snow mobile may trigger avalanches in the fresh wind slabs.

You can easily trigger avalanches on some steep slopes. Avalanches can get large enough to bury or even kill you (size 2).

Det ligger stedvis mye tørr løs og lett bunden snø i skogen og i mindre vindutsatte områder i fjellet. På utsatte plasser i fjellet er det avblåst ned til skare og is, mens fokksnøen har samlet seg til myke flak i leområder og beskyttete leområder. Over fokksnøen ligger det stedvis noen cm med løs nysnø.

Fokksnøen fra tidligere i uken har i hovedsak bundet seg godt til det gamle, fuktige snødekket.

Vinden dreier, men er fortsatt sterk og det vil føre til at det dannes ferske flak av vindtransportert snø i andre leområder enn dagen før. Noen steder kan det være lett for en skikjører å løse ut middels store skred i den ferske, vindtransporterte snøen.
